Fauna

Rancho El Fortin has a special interest in ecological preservation, which is why we head and promote fauna restoration programs with the goal of repopulating Coahuila with some of its native species: Black Bear, White-tailed Deer, Mule Deer, Elk, and Bison.

Along with the previously mentioned species, we take special interest in preserving: Wild Boars, Coyotes, Pumas, Mountain Cats, the 28 varieties of Wild Duck, and especially the Golden Eagle.

Rancho El Fortin has an ecological reserve expanding 7,400 acres. Not only do we care for our fauna, we participate in programs of Water and Mineral Conservation as well as Reforestation programs headed by CONAFOR.
