Our Story
Rancho El Fortin was founded in 1929. It’s nestled in the northeast region of Mexico, in the high desert country of the state of Coahuila in a valley surrounded by the Sierra Madres.
The origin of Rancho El Fortin dates back to the beginnings of the XX century when ranchers settled in the area to raise their cattle. In 1988, we acquired the ranch to widen our existing cattle operations in the State of Coahuila.
We have a special interest in the conservation of the native fauna, our Charolais’ pedigree, and breeding the best Quarter Horses for Charreria and Reining.
